GHOST TOWN - The Specials
This town, is coming like a ghost town
All the clubs have been closed down
This place, is coming like a ghost town
Bands won't play no more
too much fighting on the dance floor
Do you remember the good old days
Before the ghost town?
We danced and sang,
And the music played inna de boomtown
This town, is coming like a ghost town
Why must the youth fight against themselves?
Government leaving the youth on the shelf
This place, is coming like a ghost town
No job to be found in this country
Can't go on no more
The people getting angry
This town, is coming like a ghost town
This town, is coming like a ghost town
This town, is coming like a ghost town
This town, is coming like a ghost town
About Russell Styles
I'm a chef by trade and a photographer by heart. I've had a camera since I was 14 years old and have been capturing images for as long as I've been traveling. I grew up in the north of England,(the bit where the motorway is cobbled), I've seen a little bit of the world and currently reside in Canada.

Composition is great. Like your write up

Russell, I like the touches of red and the lines in the foreground that mirror the lines of the building. The dynamic sky is great. It sets off the whole scene. Madeline

Superb shot. Empty street, bare trees, dark sky, color of pavement! Ghost town! That is. Good art work. Congrats!

Russell, this is SUCH great work..really tells a story..as does the rap style descriptive piece you wrote...love the rhythm of your prose.. Ghost town is a remarkably eerie building which you have set far from the viewer, so we can only glimpse a portion, see through a glass darkly, have to fill in the details ourselves..strange elongated foreground shadows add to the mysterious effect.. Love pieces that make me think...yours always do..

I love the way you've captured the foreground shadowing and the distance you captured the building at.. seems ghostly and alluring!! Really nice work Russell!!

Amazing shot Russell! Wonderfully composition.
Sven Brogren
Nice shot, mate. I think the shadows in the foreground make it beautiful. The vigenette in the sky you added in post puts your stamp on it. Peace, Sven
